As well as the importance placed on the major games of each term, in which we both strive for and achieve National success, it is equally important to provide a wide range of different sporting opportunities for all our pupils, whatever their standard. We actively encourage pupils to participate at the best level they can and aim to equip every pupil with confidence and enthusiasm to enjoy sport and an active lifestyle both in school and beyond.
Foremarke has a long tradition of sporting excellence with both Regional and National success, and is passionately committed as ever to maximising pupils' potential at whatever level they play and fostering sporting excellence. We have a strong reputation both locally and nationally for the quality our top sports teams. Many national trophies have been won in recent years, with Foremarke often featuring in the top five prep schools in the UK.
Children benefit a great deal from the exercise, challenge and fun that a really full sports programme brings. The PE Department has seven specialist staff who teach right across the school. We run an extensive fixture list during all three terms. 10-12 sports teams are run every term in our major sports (see below) fielding where possible 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th teams. Other competitive sports on offer at Foremarke include Swimming, Athletics, Rugby and Fencing.

The sports facilities are superb and in the most delightful setting to allow all pupils the chance to take part as well as to train to a high level:
- A full-size floodlit sand based astro-turf
- Six lane 25m indoor heated swimming pool
- Sports Hall with 3 indoor cricket nets and a climbing wall
- Hard Netball Courts
- 5 Cricket pitches - 4 Grass Squares, 1 Artificial Wickets, and a Cricket Pavilion

- 6 Rounders Pitches
- 1 Rugby Pitch
- Grass Running Track and Cross Country Course
- 4 hard Tennis Courts
- Lake and boats for sailing
We are also lucky enough to have access also to Repton School’s outstanding facilities.
