Nightingale

Nightingale House is a happy and relaxed boarding house for girls aged between 7-13 who all live in comfortable bedders (our name for dormitories) of 3-6 beds. The House is named Nightingale after the well known Lady With The Lamp, and her caring concerned nature is aptly represented in our lovely home.

Nightingale - The Casey FamilyNightingale is built in the converted stables building located in the Quad area of Repton Prep, giving it a really homely feel, right in the heart of the School. We have two large common rooms where girls can relax, play games and share hot chocolates. The main common room is used on a daily basis by all the girls and allows the girls to relax when they get in from their busy day. There is a second common room where some of the younger girls watch movies and have space to relax with their favourite toys. Some of the more popular activities are dance competitions, baking, card playing and watching their favourite films. There is space for the girls to practice their musical talents and a garden at the back to relax in.

Though the activities and facilities in the house are excellent, what we are most proud of is our family atmosphere and warmth. Our lovely house tutors, help to create that atmosphere and foster our core school values with a particular focus on respecting other people, their space and their belongings.

The Houseparents are Mr and Mrs Casey.

Mrs Casey is Head of Art and also teaches PE. She is supported by Mr Casey who is the Deputy Head Pastoral and Head of Boarding and he also teaches PE. Their children Hannah and Alistair attend Repton Prep and Cara the Springador and their cat Pip are very much part of the family at Nightingale House too.
