Netball

Netball is one of the major focus sports played by the girls in the Lent Term, however to start preparing them for the netball season there are after school netball clubs for the junior girls (years 3-5) and the senior girls (years 6-8) during the Michaelmas Term.

Teams are run at all age groups from year 4, (U9A&B, U10 A&B, U11 A&B, 1st V11- 8th V11), with our aim being to include as many pupils as possible to represent the School. House netball matches are also a main feature on the school calendar, with all girls participating in these exciting events. We also host netball tournaments annually at U13, U11 and newly introduced this year U10 level. We frequently have between eight to ten schools participating in these tournaments.

Teams are run by a dedicated and qualified staff, who have received training from Karen Atkinson (Co-Captain of England) and Geva Mentor (England GK).Team coaches keep up to date with current training methods by frequently attending Netball Inset Courses.

Foremarke Hall has 3 outdoor netball courts and one indoor full size court, located in the sports hall. During the Lent Term, we also take full advantage of Repton’s wonderful facilities too (six outdoor and two indoor courts) for matches and training.
