The Friends of Foremarke is a parent run group. We meet once or twice a term to arrange the social calendar and fundraising events. The core committee is composed of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer; other members include the Foremarke Friends' co-ordinators, stock exchange co-ordinators and representatives from teaching staff, Bursar and Headmaster.
We aim to provide a varied social calendar, fundraising events, and run the second hand clothing ‘Stock Exchange’.
Successful social events have included the Chocolate Bingo, Treasure Hunt, Family Quiz and the famous biennial Foremarke Ball. We also run the annual new parents' welcome reception, school play interval refreshments, Christmas Fair, Christmas mulled wine and mince pies and House Cricket Strawberries and Cream. Numerous smaller class and year events are also organised by the Foremarke Friends.
Our fundraising activities aim to raise money for equipment that is ‘value added’ rather than essential to the school. Money is also raised for the St Saviour’s Church and various nominated charities. Recent projects which have benefited from the Friends have included the Low Ropes outward bound course, gardening projects and equipment, musical instruments and stands, and comfortable seating for the children in the library.
The "Stock Exchange" is open during term time and holidays for buying and selling of school uniform. The portacabin is found next to Lower School. Opening times are advertised in the weekly Foremarke Flyer. Any money raised from the sales is split between the Friends' projects and the St Saviour’s Church.
