In 2001 Foremarke’s exhaustive list of School sanctions was condensed into an agreed set of values, the Foremarke Code, from which all of the aims, standards and responsibilities of our community is drawn.
These values are:
C Common sense – use it!
A Aim high! Always do your best
R Respect, encourage and be honest
E Enjoy and appreciate what you have
Throughout the year pupils are reminded of the expectations of the Code, and Tutors offer guidance on specific areas of risk. The recent introduction of the SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) programme has reinforced the basic values of the Code.
The aim is to build confidence and develop a sense of social responsibility in every child, and the plaudits offered by both OFSTED and ISI in the most recent inspection reports are a testament to the Foremarke Code’s simplicity and success.
